These grilled fish tacos are an excellent example of a simple and delicious way to make fish. This recipe uses tilapia, but you can substitute virtually any kind of fish you have handy; the only real requirement here is that the fish be fresh and flavorful.
The recipe itself is very easy to make, which makes this recipe a natural for those times when you want to make a lunch or dinner which tastes great but takes very little time to prepare. Ingredients -
1 lb tilapia filets, grilled
9 corn tortillas
1 small white onion, diced
1 small bunch cilantro, chopped
1 Serrano pepper, diced
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Lime wedges and salsa, for serving
Preparation:
Warm the tortillas over a gas flame (or even over the grill if you like, using tongs to turn the tortillas and taking care not to burn them) and chop the onion, cilantro and Serrano pepper.
Season the fish with salt and black pepper.
Top the tortillas with grilled tilapia, onion, cilantro, and pepper.
Serve with salsa (green salsa is best for this recipe, but any type of salsa you prefer is fine) and lime wedges.
