Fans of green chili recipes will enjoy this flavorful chili con carne recipe. The beef is the key to this wonderful recipe because it is so rich and flavorful. You could use lamb if you prefer, though. The sausage adds a lovely smoky flavor. If you like your chili recipes spicy, feel free to add some Tabasco sauce, cayenne pepper, paprika or jalapenos to the mix. Another way of making this delicious chili is to make it in the crockpot. Leave it on low for eight hours and it will be ready by dinner time.
Using chopped beef rather than ground beef differentiates this chili recipe from a lot of other green chili recipes, but it does give the dish a pleasing texture and it makes it chunkier. The beer adds an earthy flavor and the paprika, chilies, oregano and hot sauce give this chili plenty of flavor. This is not one of the most traditional chili recipes but if you like your chili recipes slightly more unusual this might be a nice one to try. The chorizo and beef are amazing together and the other ingredients complement the overall taste.
It is up to you how many green chilies you want to use. They look good as a garnish but you can also add them to the chili itself, else use the hot sauce to spice it up or any other spices you fancy throwing into it.
