Ingredients -
¼ cup masa flour
½ lb pumpkin seeds
1 whole chicken, simmered in water with chili, garlic and bay leaf until tender
1 quart chicken broth (from after cooking the chicken)
4 dried red chilies
2 cloves garlic
2 tablespoons cooking oil
Preparation:
Brown the pumpkin seeds, garlic, chilies, and flour in the cooking oil and grind this mixture until it is a paste.
Stir in the broth and simmer the mixture for 5 minutes.
Chop up the cooked chicken and add it to the broth. Simmer it for 5 minutes, then serve hot.
